Hold The Bread Please

When I worked at a restaurant in my 20′s, I would sometimes have people order Hamburgers without buns, which just really irked me for some reason. I mean, if you’re going to eat a hunk of ground meat, why not just get a steak?

I understand its probably part of the pack your stomach full of bacon Atkin’s diet, but if  you’re a man, and you are eating a hamburger with a knife and fork, I’ve instantly lost all respect for you.

Some people can’t eat bread you retard. Celiac disease, must be very inconvenient for you?

  2. Mel says:

yeah you’re quite dumb the customers can eat whatever they want it’s their money!!

  3. Kara says:

Dur was out of line and Mel is just being stupid. So what if it’s their money?! If you can afford to go out to eat surely you can afford to skip eating out and just go to a freaking grocery store or whatever and pay for meat, still skip bread, and then go home and cook for yourself or buy “precooked” meat then go home and heat it up in the microwave or on the stove.

I think buying a hamburger sans buns is really weird and stupid. Even if I had that disease – (I had to look it up since I never knew of it until just now and I feel for anybody who has it since I loooove bread and I’d probably have a breakdown if I was told I couldn’t or shouldn’t eat bread anymore.) – I still wouldn’t go to some fast food place or whatever and order a hamburger sans buns. There are other ways to get meat without bread.

As for a certain disease, I’m sure the guy complaining about people ordering sans buns is not talking about anybody with a disease…but people who could eat bread just fine yet still order a hamburger sans buns.
